Swaroopa Yoga Classes are first and foremost Hatha Yoga Classes.

The Asana (postures) of the Swaroopa Yoga Classes are based mainly on the Ashtanga Vinyasa ‘Primary Series’ Yoga System and Sivananda Yoga Style. These are flowing posture sequences. This also includes opening and closing chants, asana- breath- bandha, pranayama/ meditation. Although the classes have variety and do change regularly the format is kept basically the same with obvious slight alterations i.e. some classes may sometimes have longer asana sections and some longer pranayama sections. Some include Yoga Nidra sections (deep relaxation).
